Home / News / Going To Iowa For BMX Fest 2013 With The Midwest BMX Donation Program

The Link Foundation will be at the Midwest BMX Fest 2013 on Saturday, May 25th in Davenport, Iowa.  Our presence is part of our support for the Midwest BMX Donation Program, and our continuing support for the Stay Strong Foundation for Stephen Murray (injured X-games Medalist), breast cancer research, Animal Rescue and Rights, and The Randy Shaver Cancer Fund. While at the BMX Fest, you can purchase our Link merchandise for any one of our involved charities, or get them all and share with your friends and family.

The Link Foundation is a 501c3 charity that creates jewelry and charms from recycled bicycle chain links for fundraising and promoting awareness of other charities.  Besides being able to purchase a Link and show your support in the form of a stylish, recycled accessory, we will also have our very own Stay Strong representative and professional dirt and ramp rider Dustin Grice (as featured on the cover of BMXPlus March 2013 edition) riding in the park and visiting our booth.  After you get your Link, don’t forget to register for the 2013 Stay Strong 24″ BMX frame that we will have up for raffle. Stop by, say hi, and Link up!

    What people are saying...

    • ….sometimes you just need a little help from your friends, and other times you make new friends during a very difficult time.  This is what happened to our family when our son, Brett Banasiewicz, suffered a traumatic brain injury on his BMX bike on August 23, 2011.  Dustin Grice is one of Brett’s BMX buddies that reached out to us about the Link Foundation.  Jeff Troldahl, founder of the Link Foundation, and Dustin Grice designed a “Maddog” bracelet with Brett’s signature colors pink and green.  The Link Foundation sold many bracelets via the internet and also allowed us to sell the bracelets at Brett’s BMX Skate Park.  The proceeds went to Brett’s mounting medical bills.  Brett was able to obtain the best care in the United States that also included hyperbarics.  Brett had to relocate to Texas because the state of Indiana is not licensed to administer hyperbarics  for TBI’s..
